Bay Leaf (Cramlington)
The Bay Leaf is an aromatic leaf which is thought to have many magical and mystical qualities. Bay Leaf come from the sweet bay or laurel tree, know botanically as laurus nobilis.
The elliptical leaves of both trees are green, glossy, and grow up to 3 inches long. Although the Indian Bay Leaf is similar to the other bay leaves it is culinary quite different in both aroma and flavour.
However, the Bay Leaf is just one of over 30 different types of herbs and spices which are combined by our master chef to create an individual and unique culinary experience.
Here at the Bay Leaf we understand that it is not just the ingredients which we use which gives each dish its unique and exciting flavour but the way they are fused together.
The Bay Leaf philosophy is to create a dining experience which is unique for our guests both in flavour and style and which we believe distinguishes the Bay Leaf from others.
I trust you will enjoy the Bay Leaf.
